AW need help found two leaks

well I am about to remove the palstic cover on the right hand side of the car where the tire is. When my han gets dirty from oils and some green stuff. I take it the green astuff is the antifreeze from the radioter or something right. and th black stuff is the oil. Ok my question i checked the engine very well and i could not detect a leak because it not like making a pond of black in my garage its just the whole oil pan is dirty from ol like build uo you know is it a leak or is it not screwed right or something. Ok thants not big but whats big is my whole right side of the car is wet with antufrezze its driping and i go to the plasitc container and theres a hose thats no conected to any ing its just laying around the engine compart ment well can some figure out what it is and where i goes thank i will be posting pics of the enige and leak and tube.

the hose that migh be the cause where does it go it seems it goes no where. If you know let me know

That hose is your coolant bottle overflow. When it gets too full, coolant will be expelled from that hose.

so your tellingme when it gets full it spills all over the engine. But my conataner says it low its at the firs line there two one say full the others say im not sure but that where it is right now.
Ok so it just dangel there then because i thinkt hat what harmed my alternator its all covered in gree goo. as far as the oil pan issue how do you expalin that one

That little hose that's barfing all over your engine... It's supposed to be routed down towards the ground, beside the overflow bottle. So it pukes all over the ground, instead of your enigne bay.

Even if your container is reading low normally, when the engine gets warmed up, the bottle will fill up more, if it fills up too much, it needs somewhere to go, so it spills out that overflow tube. Our cars sometimes under boost will have a leak somewhere (the headgasket or what have you), and some of the boost pressure will force into the cooling system, and push coolant out of that tube.

To fix your problem (or that problem anyway) just shove that tube down the side of the bottle, there should be a space for it, so that it's pointed out towards the ground.

Judging from the amount of wetness in the area though, you may have another leak somewhere. The radiator cap (on the thermostat housing) might be leaking, it looks like your upper radiator hose is wet.

hey thanks a bunck so it s nothing big then is it. Ok cool. is it safe tojust extend the hose to the bottom of the engine that way it can leak on the floor . just asking. Does anyone know about the oil on the oil pan. It s all covered in oil build or is it just tar and maybe antifrezze. I dont see crack on the oil pan eaither.
