i know this question has been asking but i cant seem to find it.. can someon tell me what ECU's will fit in a 92 Talon AWD (manual Trans) i have one ECU that has a burned board..it works but it wont turn off when i turn the car off..so i think that one is junk..and in my car now im running a NT LOL i know its not good..but i think i am ok cause my SAFC can correct the bad fuel trims..but yea spare me the lecure i know that i need to get a different ECU LOL i just dont have the money right now so i gotta do what i can and my car needs to run...i have a buddy that wants to give me a 90 Laser ecu Manual Trans Turbo..but not AWD does that matter?? thanks guys..if anyone can repair a burned board maybe you could help out..if needed i can snap a few pics of the damage..thanks guys again.. peace
 
Im pretty sure that the 90 turbo ecu will work but you have to cross two wires, thats it.

Do a search for 90 ecu in 91+ and you will find what wires to cross.
 
Had to do this today, as a matter of fact :thumb:

Basically, switch wires to pins 14 & 6 and you're done.

There's the 90 ECU, then there's the 91-94. If you have a 90, and you can only find a 91-94 ECU, you can use it just as long as you switch the pins as stated above; and vise versa, if you have a 91-94 and can only find a 90 ECU, etc. Just remember there's all different kinds of ECUs, ie: manual/automatic transmission, turbo/non-turbo, year models, California/Federal emissions, etc. Do your research before you buy one, you don't want to be stuck with an ECU you don't need ;)
