ok, bad news for me today, my turbo sucked in the rubber ring that attaches the intake pipe to the compressor. The blades are all bent, and one is missing... now, my question is weather or not that blade that broke off is inside my block somewhere? is this gonna really f*** my engine up? i didnt drive it too long or hard, just around the block at slow speeds when it happened. any suggestions????

i highly doubt it wouldve made it all the way up into the block due to it having to pass through the intercooler and its narrow passages..if it were small enough then pieces may have been able to but i would do a compression test to make sure if your that worried..but i dont think you have anything to worry about besides getting another turbo..

yeah for it to get into your block tha piece would have to break up into about the size of sand go down through your intercooler through all the piping go into you intake mani and though your valves which is kinda hard even getting to the valves. so my guess would be no. take your turbo, pipes, intercooler off and look for it in there. that would be my guess.

yeah, your block is probably safe, but I would take all your pipes off and your intercooler and clean them all out of possible debris.

also, how the HELL did you manage to get that little rubber spacer sucked up?

ok found the fan blade, i shook the intercooler, and a bunch of ruber and crap fell out.

keaka26, i cleaned out my intercooler, and changed the oil that day so i removed my home depot intake pipe, and when i went to put it on agian, i guess it didnt hug the compressor housing tight enough so it fell into the turbo. which makes sence because it wasnt idling very well when i started it up. Must have been a gap between the intake an turbo.

thanks for the help!

crazy man, I guess you're pretty lucky!

A guy I know was working on his 3kGT and managed to drop a washer into his intake plenum...lets just say that washers are not to be used as a fuel and probably werent meant to be compressed in a motor =) ...
