Lowering Motor (420A)

I recently tried to put on my UDP with no sucess. The UDP would not come off and it seems I need to lower my motor 1 or 2 inches. Do I need a lift for this or what? Someone please help, I need to get this done soon.

actually you can put a jack under the oil pan (it will support the weight). Unbolt the passenger side motor mount and I believe the rear underside motor mount and you can lower the engine like that, I had to stand on mine to get it down. You definitly need a puller.

Basicly if you lower the engine 2 inches it helps to align the engine and tranny with the celestial powers of the moon and stars, this will give you about an extra 300hp at the crank. If in addition to this you losen up all of your lug nuts you will have the effect of flying.

Just kidding .

you just lower it to change the pully out, it is not a permanent change. There is not enough side wall clearance to pull the udp off the motor, the top 1/4 inch will be blocked.
