Starting Trouble

Just recently my car is having toruble starting. It will get going but the rpms will just drop and the car will die. Some times it will just start fine or sometimes the rpms will just drop and die. Once I'm on the road it will run fine, but then I will go over a small bump in the road or something and the check engine light will come on and the car will pretty much die as the rpms will drop like crazy but it will come back and drive fine and the light will go off. Do you think it could be the fuel pump or filter, or is it electrical?

I've been having the same problem, only mine doesnt require a bump for it to die. It randomly does it. I'm thinking fuel pump, I've already replaced my filter with no luck. Help us out someone. =)
