When my engine goes over 3,000 rpms all the to the top there is a loud vibration. The car hits full boost and is comperable in speed to my 90 awd when accelerating. I have no clue to what is causing all the noise. There isn't any problems with rough idle and it sounds fine below 1,000 rpms. Any ideas or anyone who has experienced this problem and knows what i am dealing with would be much appreciated. Andrew

Have you put a timing belt on recently? If so, your balance shaft could be out of sync. You might also want to see if your balance shaft belt has broken.

Hey Andrew, Emet here, heh heh...I never thought I'd be part of a DSM forum, knock on wood.

This car he speaks of is one I just purchased yesterday. I've been doing some more reading and it seems that the balance belt is exactly what my problem is, or at least so far. But I can't find any info on how to replace the belt or even where the stupid thing is located...back to the search function we go...
