Rev issue

im sure this has been asked before but I could not find anything...


When i start my car my idle climbes slowly to about 2500 rpm... after that it quickly drops to about 1400 and then jumps up and down from 1400 - 1600 apx every second or so.. only in idle.. its really annoying.. but when im in gear moving i dont feel its affect @ all...
any ideas ?

iv herrd that it could be a lose connection on my TPS

have you tried setting your afc? if you have a blow off valve that vents to the atmosphere, you will need to change the settings.

I have no idea how to do that... =)
but would that not cause it to do it all the time
cause it only does it every once in a while

Months ago my car start doing exactly the same... later the problem change and the car idle very bad, specially when I turn on the A/C, RPM goes down over 550-600 and on traffic lights the engine simply shoot off... I replace the ISC unit and problem stop there... Thank's God!...

yeah sometimes when i start my car i have that problem
it starts and it idles @ like 400 - 600
but as soon as i put it in gear the problem is solved and it does not come back
unlike the other end of the scale.

whats an ISC and is it expensive? =)

im having a similar problem and its posted here http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=692640#post692640 but i think its cause my tps either has a loose connection or its just not at the right angle. does it make that noticable of a #### up if its off by under 5 degrees? :-\

btw where is the ISC and does anyone have a pic of it?
