Hi everyone,
I bought this '97 Eclipse GSX three weeks ago with 21k miles and NOW I get to know about all this crankwalk issue.
People I'm scared.
I do not feel any of the cwalk signals yet but I was planning on a Stage 1 upgrade to the car and this problem is pulling me back and even considering to sell the car. I'm totally lost about it even though I've read a lot of information about it.
I was wondering if with so low-mileage I can simply go to my mitsu mechanic and ask him to open up and have a look. If it's ok, wait a few more miles and if it looks like its starting to show some "uneven loads" (thanks vfaq) on the bearings get them changed ASAP. Or even change the crankshaft for a one that sits still.
Thanks in advance

), nothing more. If you tell me that it's going to be the same damage and solution a 50k mile walking crank that a 22k mile one, I'll go to sleep and patiently wait for the synthomps to appear.
