how the heck can i get the o2 sensor off. I cant get any wrench to get it undone......i know you have to be able to get to the connector to put in a new one. i want to drop my entire exhaust and then take out the o2 sensor. How can i disconnect the connector side of the o2 sensor from the car?

where is it?

The connector is located behind the thermostat housing. Just follow the wire that goes over the head shield, you will find it. It would be much easier to just use an O2 sensor socket. They run between 8-10 bucks.

Use plenty of penetrating oil, too. Those things can be a cast iron bi*** to get out at times.

its the second o2 sensor. I can't break it free from the exhaust, so im gonna get some more pb blaster, and probably and o2 socket. if i can't get it out, this is what im realy looking to do. I want to get at the connector under the driver seat, disconnect it and just feed it down so i can pull the exhaust off.

take ur car for a quick drive b4 you try to take it off, and use an o2 sensor socket and a breaker bar...... and ummmm don't burn urself ;)

problem is the cars half taken apart. So i can't drive it to heat it and i don't have anything very able to do so. Im just gonna get it off with a lot of force when i do it. I have midterms and crap so itn not happening till thursday afternoon anyway. time for pb blaster to soak in.
