Where do I drill in a 1g body to run a 2 Gauge wire?

I'm relocation my battery.

Yes, this is very very easy. I could do it in a little over an hour.

The problem? This is the boost gauge all over again. A *very* easy install except I can't get anything through the firewall. I tried for 45 minutes on the boost gauge and finally lucked out. Now I'm trying to run a 2gauge from the battery in the rear to the engine compartment and it's just not working..

yes, I've seen the Vfaq. And I've spent, literally, 2 hours and 10+ attempts to get it to work. I've ran through that hole, I've ripped the whole rubber-in-cabin firewall part apart to fish it through. And I've reached the end of a long leash.

So for anyone that sucks like me and can't get anything through; how did you go about drilling the firewall (what point?) I'm about to do it but i've ran into the off wire running behind the body and I'm too tired to bother messing something else up. I'm going to try to do it in the carand see how that goes. the drill bit is a 3/8th.

Well, I ran a 4 gauge wire from the front to the back, by going through a rubber boot on the passenger side of the firewall, then running the wire back through the center console to the rear. Said boot is rather difficult to get to, though if you're battery is not in the way, it should be easier. Then again, you are a 1G and I don't even know if your car has this boot. Take a look though!

The instructions are for 90-94 AWD DSM :

. You have to determine now how you're going to route the wiring into the engine compartment. I had a hole in the firewall just under the glove box which worked perfectly. If you for some reason don't have this, there is a large hole higher up that you could squeeze the wire through. If you use the lower hole, the wire will come out into the inside of your car's frame. To get it into the engine bay, pull the rubber cover out of the hole just below where the metal battery mount used to attach and you should see your wire. Use tweezers or some other tiny grabbing tool to pull the wire up and through this hole. To be safe, cut the middle out of the rubber cover, slide it around the cable and reattach it into the hole.

Just my .002 worth, hope it helps. :talon:
