ok, i just got this car a few weeks ago and only drove it home before pulling off the turbo and exhaust manifold. anyways my problem is that after putting everything back together and taking it for a test run i started hearing a whistling noise. not the whistling of the turbo. and i raise the hood and found out that there's a nipple hole in the top of the intake manifold and its sucking air in through that hole, and my car will not idle . whenever i come to a stop it just sputters out.
any help?

There should be a hose connected to that nipple. If you have the ECI multi intake mani and can tell me which nipple it is I can tell you which hose connects to it. I think there are like 2 or 3 nipples on the top.....or u can jus look around for a hose laying around that area.

its the nipple that points up towards the hood. the other two face out to the pasenger side. i need to get the haynes manual but the local auto parts store didnt have one. but i can tell you that when i put my thumb over the hole the car will idle alot better, but its too hot to hold there long
