I'm breaking loose in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear if I get on the gas at all. It is only the rear, and it seems that it might only be 1 wheel because I'm getting sideways everytime it happens. I also heard a funny noise coming back from the track, sounded like a warped rotor but no shaking, possible wheel hub bearing, or possibly driveline component. I don't hear the noise anymore. I drained the rear differential, no metal shavings or anything coming out, but it was like sludge. I put in redline heavy weight oil that RRE recommends. The transmission and transfer case has fresh fluids, about 1k miles on them (redline in xfer, and trans= B&M synchromesh)

Another weird thing that happened, I was pulling the car into my garage which requires going up an incline. I either got high sided, because the car would not go anywhere. Gave it some more gas, hear a tire chirp and I made it into the garage. This has never happened before for the past year of owning the car.

Anyhow, how can I check these components out with as little removal as possible.
Thanks again guys,
Chad
"breaking the rear loose through all gears in a AWD"

thank you for the info, I believe that might be it. Is there anyway besides yanking the center differential out to check. What would be some definite signs of a center differential going, a xfer case, and the rear differential?
I plan to raise all 4 tires off the ground and see what happens. Anything other than that?

Thanks, Chad
