wiring issue with boost gauge

ok i just got my autometer boost gauge put in my new eclipse and i'm trying to find a power source. i want it to light up when i turn on the headlights, but i can't find a place on the fuse block under the dash that has anything to do with the lights. where do i have to hook this up at for what i want?

-I don't know about the AutoMeter gauge, does it need power to operate the gauge or just for the small illumination bulb? if it's for a small bulb, why not tap into one of the instrument light closest to your gauge.

tap into the cigarette lighter light. Not the power source for the heating element, but the one for the background light. Works perfecto.

that or i tapped into the light for the cig lighter so when i turn the lights on it my gauges also come on

do yourself a big favor and go buy either a voltmeter or a multimeter and learn how to use it. You will end up using it a lot, I know I did. To answer your question, I tapped the light switch, so that when you turn on your headlights the boost gauge lights up. I used a voltmeter to find it, I believe it was green with a white stripe(not sure though).
