Hey since i got this car it has always took a few turns of the key to get it to start after it sat for a while i just thought it was a fuel issue i checked this and it seems that its not the pump comes on and fuel is getting to the filter at least but now since it is getting colder where i live it takes like 5 mins to start the damn thing does anyone have any idea whats causing this? i have pretty bad compression could that be the problem (like 120psi across but im rebuilding soon).

120 seems a bit low, but that shouldn't prevent you from starting the car. I would check your plugs and plug-wires. Could also be a bad starter. Or it could be something as simple as the battery. I've had a few people that have a old battery test 'good' at autozone with similar issues, and once they replaced it anyway, the car started up just fine.

im not sure about my compression but i in a way think i know what youre talking about. for me i just sit in the car, turn it on, and gently rev it until she warms up. i know my isc is bad and i think it may have something to do with it? try checking that, maybe theres a link to each other
goodluck
