fuel injector question

I just recently bought some used 550 injectors. I noticed on one the black little sleeve around right were it sprays is chipped off. will this effect the fuel pattern? its the little black tip. thanks

That's the pintle cap, and you should be able to get a new one from RC and most of the other places that clean injectors.

If the cap is cracked badly you may find that the injector doesn't seal into the head well.

the fuel injectors are from a rx-7. do you think they will spray properly.

I think a chipped off pintle cap is another good reason to have them cleaned and checked before using them.
