Turbo eats oil?

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of looking for a DSM. And i came across one at dsmtrader.com. It looks like a good deal, except the owner says the 'turbo eats a little oil.' I'm not sure what this means, and how bad for the car/turbo it is. I also dont know what causes it. I was thinking possibly bad seals? Any other ideas? Any help with this would be really appreciated, thanks.

update, I emailed him and asked about the 'turbo eating oil' and he said:

"Well the motor just uses a little oil, I assume its the turbo. There
isn't
alot of shaft play, its just that with 115k miles on it the turbo oil
seals
tend to leak. No biggie a rebuild kit is about $100 and these turbo's
aren't
hard to rebuild."


what do you guys think :-/?
