Hey guys, just recently my car has started funny... it turns over fine but as the rpms are going up the exhaust pops at about 7 or 8 hundred rpms and almost feels like its going to die but it starts up. Also, when I come to a full stop say at a light then give it almost half throttle it stumbles and the exhaust pops. I figure its not the trans slipping because the exhaust sounds as if its engine related and that if it were trans related the exhaust would not be affected only the feel of stumbling. Any help is greatly appreciated. I think it's just my car wanting to be its turbo brother so bad. thanks guys

Have you checked for codes? The NT's have a nice trouble code system, so no special equipment is necessary. It sounds a lot like an ignition problem (wires or plugs). I would have said that it is an intake problem, but the N/T use a MAP sensor instead of a MAS.

AWDriven.

No codes and the problem has gotten worse. Now when traveling at about 40 - 45 in 4th gear (auto) the exhaust pops and the car kind of bucks or jerks. Could I have maybe gotten some bad gas? Maybe the fuel filter is clogged. I dunno, anyone have any ideas?

The dealership installs and sells CHAMPION plugs which are SHIT. While i was at the dealership here in utah i paid out of my pocket the difference to put NGK's in and the customer never came back with a problem... we put champions in 3 times in 2 months..... NGK to the rescue!!

Don't use Autolite, bosch or champion plugs... i have had nothing but problems with them!
NGK or ND is what i recommend on a regular basis.
