 Well I got my turbo timer in my 91 TSI, and everything seems to work ok but, accordding to my turbo timer, my stock tach is like 200 rpm off at idle. And it gets even worse as the RPMs get higher.. I did it quick rev to 7500 rpm and the timer said i hit 9600.

I did notice this in the directions. NOTE: this rpm signal must be a [5] volt digital signal. If using a [12] volt anolog signal, use part #4299-RA004.

But my friend has the same timer in his 96 and it reads fine. I checked over everything and it is all wired right. I would rather no one reasponds with a guess, but more if you have a dman good idea on what is going on. Thanks everyone

that is kinda what i was thinking I emailed HKS but who knows how long that wil take. I was hoping someone else has ran into the problem too

-I'm assumn you have a HKS TT, I'm not sure about the HKS because I have a GReddy, I have to synchronize the rpm on the OEM tach and the RPM signal the TT is picking up throught the ignition wire.

Y i just saw that, and came on to say it is all fixed!!! I needed to puit it to learn mode and have it at 2000 RPM I feel dumb now..thanks for the help guys!

hey I am lookin for the guy that PMed me on this thread PM me again to confirm your addy

when I got my Greddy TT, it didn't add time to auto mode until I set the RPM and Speed. It always stays around 2k and then as I get above 2k, the rpms match up, I guess because since you have to keep it at a certain rpm to synchronize it or something. Speed display is accurate at all times but for some reason my attack mode doesn't want to stop when I reach the desired speed reading.
