La Vernia,
My '95 GS eclipse have recently been eating oil up too fast and I am thinking that it is my valves. The car runs perfectly but everytime I check my oil like every 2 weeks or 1time a week it is always low is that normal???If not what do I have to do???Thanks!

If you are smoking what color is it? Place a piece of new cardboard under your car when you park it at night to see if you can find where it leaks from. Probably the valve cover gasket. If it is leaking at all.

Well I have no leaks but I sometimes do have an excessive amount of smoke come out of my exhaust, it is white.

Ok dude, we need to know exactly what happens here.

When does it smoke and for how long? If it smokes just when you start your car but not when you drive you probably have bad valve seals. If it is smoking all the time then you probably have worn rings.

It just smokes sometimes like when I am going to school in the morning or when I am going home after school. But when It is warmed up it won't smoke anymore. Please be patient with me because I can't always get on the net I have a job, and I am not always at home.
Thanks for your help I REALLY appriciate it.
Ps im a chick.

Hmmm well it sounds like valve seals then. Dont worry I was'nt getting impatient with you. I was just trying to find out exactly what is going on. What you will want to do is pull the head off and take it to a machine shop and have them put new valve seals in. Costs about $30 around here. If you dont have the mechanical knowledge or trust yourself to do that kind of work you should take it to a mechanic and let them do it. Of course that will cost more though.

LOL sorry dud et

It's ok. But thanks for the info that is what my dad keeps telling me that it is my valve seals. But just to be safe I wanted to check with someone who knows more about eclipses. THANKS A MILLION!!!

My car seems to be burning oil also...added 1/2 a quart after 800 miles from my last change, it's been about a month since I added and it's starting to get low again. I'm gonna change my oil again end of this month.
