Originally, my car was always stuck PARTIALLY in gear, (Would roll with the clutch pedal to the floor when you rev / would not roll down a hill with the clutch pedal to the floor) but then one day it just broke all the way and got stuck FULLY in gear.

-It was stuck fully in gear, So I've replaced:
1.)Transmission
2.)Master Cylinder
3.)Slave Cylinder
4.)Clutch
5.)Flywheel
6.)Welded cluch linkage

*The car still wont shift into gear. What else could it be?

Thanx,

A transmission can't be partially in gear or out of gear. A transmission cannot slip. As soon as you started have wacky problems with the car rolling with the clutch depressed, then you should have known it couldn't have anything to do with the tranny. The only cause of that would be a clutch that isn't disengaging properly.

I assume that you meant the car wouldn't roll downhil IF THE ENGINE WAS OFF?

the pedal to the floor, stick in 1st!

-I'm no expert, but I was told by my mechanic that my transmission was stuck in gear.
*Is it possible I bought a new transmission for nothing?

-I think the problem now is the clutch wont fully engauge/disengauge.
*What are some factors that can cause this... other than what I've already replaced?

I had the same problem, but I was stuck in second. I checked and what I found was that the arm that connects the shifter to the tranny was off. If you had a new tranny put in then I'm sure that wouldn't have been overlooked but you never know. Good luck with the fix:thumb:

Frayed shifter cables would cause that. To check them remove the cable ends from the transmission and move the shifter in the car. It should move very smoothly. While you're in there, play around with the shift/ select levers on the tranny and see if you can get them to go into gear.

I'm also thinking maybe your clutch isn't completely disengaging, too. Do you know where the clutch TOB fork comes out of the bellhousing? Take a look at it to see where it's oriented in relation to the square hole that it goes through. It should be in the middle. If it's offset to the left/ passenger side then you need to replace the fork pivot ball and/ or shim the pivot ball.
