hey everyone i got the ecu code for my check engine light but it came up as engine temperature sensor. . . . well the problem with my car is that at around 5800 rpms i get a sputtering/miss and cant rev any higher plus i shoot out this big ass puff of smoke/fuel. . . back to subject the engine temp seems to be fine - I checked my ecu just incase and it looks to me like the capacitor is leaking, its all brown on the other side? is this a problem with the air flow not measuring correctly or simply because of the ecu???????????

Engine Temp Sensor I dont think would have anything to do with your sputter/miss. I got the same code on my 90GSX, replaced the Sensor and the same error code came back a week later. Turns out to be the wiring to the sensor. Cleaned it up and checked the connection, all good. Just a suggestion. As far as the sputtering, perhaps its your spark plugs.
