I've swapped most of the 2G sensors over to the 1G motor. I do have a couple of questions though. The Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor on the 2G intake manifold. Do I need to swap that over and if so where do I install it on the 6 bolt? Same with the Ignition Power Transistor mounted next to the coil pack. Do I need it, I'm assuming I do, where should I mount that if I do? Only other query I have right now is this wire leading to a small cylindrical housing on a bracket on the driver-side rear of the intake manifold. I'm thinking it is a capacitor housing or something, but I'm not sure at all. I just need to know what it is and if it is necessary. Thanks a lot everyone.

Okay, about the MDP sensor. I plan on blocking of the EGR valve. This is what I need to know. Do I just mount the sensor somewhere and plug it in? I read somewhere to T it on the brake booster, but I'm not sure what that is talking about. I don't really want to drill into the manifol and when I get a DSMLink it's getting tossed anyway. Thanks.

hey man im thinking that this is too late for any info regarding your questions...but anyways. I too just finished my 6bolt swap and ran into the same questions you had. The cylindrical thingy is hooked up to the engine knock sensor i believe..you could lengthen the wire and place it where it was on the 1g(the side of the intake mani) the powertransistor would go to the spot where the 1g was but you need to lengthen the wires...as for the mdp i just hooked it to an unused nipple on the tbody but i cant tell you if its working ok cause my car idles and stalls like shit

hey man why dont you hit me up on my AIM

maybe you can help me out since we are doing the same thing

Let me download AIM first. I found a good idea for the MPD sensor. I read in a mag that you could make a bracket (there's was aluminum) and attach the sensor to it. drill a hole through the aluminum with two mounting holes on the side. attach the sensor to one side and on the other side screw in a vacuum nipple of some kind. Then plug the sensor in and T it on a strong vacuum sourse. Brake Booster would be easier becuase it's out of the way. I should have my swap done and I'll let you know if it makes a difference. I'll post pics of the aluminum sensor plate. I found the idea in the last Modified mag...had a 1G in a 2G swap thing...not too detailed but filled in some gaps.
