I had an exhaust manifold stud break off in the head and I drilled it out but went a little bit on an angle and drilled into the head and hit a coolant jacket in the head. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I tried JB weld but it won’t hold up against the hot temps and I tried a metal sealer for exhaust manifolds but the coolant pushed its way though. Any idea’s short of buying a new head? Thanks

Dude, take it from someone who knows from experience......you are going to have to get a new head. I did the exact same thing and there is noway of stopping that leak. I even paid a professional welder $150 to weld it and even he couldnt fix it. Just go out and buy a 1g head and be done with it.

How much for a 1g head? Is it even worth trying to do? How long did the weld hold up or didn't it? thanks
