How do you ground the ecu to check the timing? I know what plug it is but there is two connectors inside. So which one do you ground?

Also if the cam angle sensor was put in way off do you need to pull it out and turn it to get it within an acceptable range?

Thanks

Jason

The 1g's had a connector that is on the firewall just to the passenger side of center. It originally had a cap on it but if it's been serviced then it may not have been plugged back in. After finding it, you attach a wire to it and ground the other end of the wire. This will put the computer in to the mode that allows for base timing adjustment. Engine RPM should change when you ground it out. After it's grounded you'll need a timing light. Adjust the sensor by loosening the nuts that hold it in place and turn it clockwise or counter-clockwise. The direction will all depend on where the timing light illuminates the timing mark on the harmonic balancer.

I'm not real sure if the 2g, 4g63, allow for this adjustment or not.
