Help please..

Today while preparing to do the shifter mod i noticed that the driver side E-brake cable snapped. It appears to be broken at the pin and braket section. Is there any way to repair this without having to purcahse a new cable? If not, how much would this run at the dealer? Also, i just replaced dragging calipers, do you thing that tihs had anything to do with the snap? thanx in advance...

Please i need info fast....

This is a possibly dangerous situation, car wants to roll back into traffic w/o a stopper....help!!!

I just had mine break on the passenger side, but it happened on the end by the brakes on the back. I don't know if you could fix yours, but for mine I just tightened the one cable that was still good so that it holds enough to hold the car. Probably not the best idea, but it works at least until you get it replaced. The cable for AWD cars is $35 from rockauto.com.
