Wheel noise.

While accelerating, coasting or just rolling my 1g experiences a metal on metal hollow sound, I thought it was my brakes but when applied it continues to make the noise.... its the passenger side front wheel, I just did new brakes with a mechanic friend and this was happening prior to it... he thinks it could be something involving the axle....

any thoughts?

I had the same problem with my 2g. Does it seem like the wheel is loose at all. B/C it might be your wheel barings. Just a thought.
