I was wondering if any of you guys had any problems passing smog because your obd-2 would not connect to smog machines. . . For some reason it wont connect and i dont want to go to SATAN because i know they will charge a grip...

is there any testing equipment that i could buy to check if i have a faulty wire or any electrical wiring obd2 diagram out there
excellent guys thanks so much ill buy a volt meter this weekend...

would an aftermarket radio or aftermarket alarm mess it up at all because those are the 2 things i have done electronically and my obd2 worked before those 2 things got installed....

Not everyone at the dealership is satan.

The people at the dealership may even be able to tell you that this has been a common problem on many cars. The manufacturer of these cars has released updates for some that allow the car to pass OBDII inspections after the computer has been updated.

There are certain instances when the Inspection computer will ask for the type of vehicle being inspected. It compares that vehicle description to the ones in the computer. If they match then the computer may allow certain readiness codes to be ignored if they have not run their full cycle.

There are certain instances when the vehicle computer can be updated to speed up the rate at which the car tests certain emissions component testing thereby getting it to pass or fail. A passing condition means the car's computer and inspection computer play nicey nice. A failing condition will turn on the check engine light meaning... you now know you have a component needing repair/replacement.

And if all that doesn't work you could just sell your car and you'd never have to worry about taking your car to "satan", bother posting on a board where spawns of satan try and help others despite the constant bashing, and all would be pleasant again.
