Can someone tell me how to fix the slack in the timing belt between the 2 cam gears. I've had this problem for half a year now. I though it was the timing belt so I changed it yesterday. It is still the same. While the motor revs between 2000-3000rpms the belt flaps around between the 2 cam gears. This causes it to make this really loud rattle type sound. After 3000rpms, the belt is quiet and I can see that the belt is not flapping around and is strait and tight. Maybe the auto tensioner isn't good anymore. Are you suppose to be able to push down on the push rod on the auto tensioner. It still has lots of pushing force but before I wasn't able to push down on it. It seems as if it was like stuck before. What do you guys think?
