Is it normal for the sunroof to jump up a little bit when the doors are closed and the windows are rolled up? (From the air pressure in the car). I got a little bit of a leak last night it was storming bad. I have washed my car and it sat in the ran a few times with no leaks. I had read to tighten up the 6 torques that run along the glass keeping it to the track. I did tighten them up and the glass doesn't move, it seems the movement is coming the arms that the glass is screwed to. I did a leak test this with no major leaks, just the sunshade got a little wet (it was slid back partially and I ran the hose on the sunroof full blast dumping tons of water, I want it to be monsoon proof). I was just curious if there was something else I should look at tightening. The physical track is fixated to the car very well and does not move.

Yup. It'll dance.

Get some heavy weed whacker line and run it down the 4 drains, one at each corner. Cleans out all the bug nests and detritis.

Factory calls for Loc-Tite on the Torx screws. Spec for adjustment is "1mm lower at the front than at the back". Yeah, you bet.

I always think mine is going to pop out of the car when I shut the door, but it doesnt leak. When you see the water on the shade is it after you have shut the door with water on the car and weather stripping? That might be where your water is comming from... Just a thought. But if it is really leaking and you cant seem to make any adjustments and all to make it stop (i.e. tighting the screw and cleaning the gutters) then it might just be age. The bad thing about run roofs is that they start to leak after time. It could be the weather stripping or it could be god him self placing the drops of water in your car. Usually it turns out to be the weather stripping though. Check it and make sure its not crack or damaged and make sure that the window seats securly in it and doesnt fold a up or catch the lip.
