My car has been having a huge problem with knock counts of up to 43 counts, I have tried tuning it out by adding and leaning fuel but it never goes away. I have done a huge search on Phantom knock and have come to 2 conclusions so far, the knock sensor(which is new) has been torqued too tight or lifter tick. I have ordered the lifters and I am going to retorque the knock sensor. I have also tried putting my base timing down to 3* but to no avail. I have a stock clutch and it has been through some consitant 1.8 60's. When I shift it just feels as though there is nothing there at all...to easy??. It dosen't seem as though it is sliping, I have read a few posts that say a clutch can cause PK. I would appreciate any info. Thanks alot.
P.S. My EGTs are again through the roof and that was with timing at 5*. The plugs are white I believe because of the high temps, but there are no detonation marks on the plugs at all, nor any visable signs on the top of the piston. I have checked everything fuel related and changed everything as far as filter, injectors and my pump was getting 12v. I cant quite pinpoint when this happend, and everything that is on my mod list is the same as when I ran the 13.61??.
