I bought a used MBC (TurboXS) so I didn't get any installation instructions. I looked some up on the Net and installed it to the specifications. Didn't seem to work. Spoke with some guys here on the site and they sent me a better diagram. Now it looks to be hooked up right. But I still can't boost past 9 PSI. Someone said that if the wastegate is shot, that will happen. Did I screw mine up when I hooked it up the first time? (Lines where backwards) Spool up seems somewhat slower now. Any help?

The turboXS MBC is backwards from all the other MBCs out there. Just make sure you loosen it quite a bit untill you see the boost come up. It took mine about 6 or 7 turns untill my boost started to increase.

I am out four turns right now. Car feels stronger but still only 9 PSI. I don't want to blow up my motor! Still keep going? Or is there a test for my boost gauge? Let me know! Any help is appreciated!

I'm out six turns and still nothing more on the boost gauge! OMG I am really nervous about blowing this thing up! Someone have a test for my boost gauge? Need help as to what to do to diagnose this problem. Car is hauling, but I think I am overboosting! :| Little help from some friends would be appreciated! :thumb:

are you noticing a big increase in performance? do you have an intake leak tester? if so see if you can get your gauge to go higher than 9 psi with an air compressor or something..

if you knew for sure that your boost gauge worked then just unplug your hose from the wastegate and ease very gently into the throttle in 3rd gear and see if you can make more than 9psi of boost - if so then your mbc is not correct.

I just want to ask to make sure. You are using an aftermarket boost gauge right? Other then that your waste gate might be messed up. Mine was all jacked up it took my car forever to boost and i would only hit 9lbs and that was by like 5.5k. Check the waste gate acurator arm (sp) to see if it kind of bulges out at all or it sits flush with the heat sheild it if sits flush with it then its should be fine but it sticks out then you got a problem. I should rephrase that. its not the arm it self its where the arms joint is.

I am running an aftermarket gauge. Knew I had to do that. Car does "feel" stronger but that might just be psychological. I will try to remove the hose to the wastegate. Doing a 3rd gear pull is the best way to see huh? Will do it and let you all know. Thanks
