Hey,

I have a stock 1991 Eagle Talon TSi, FWD.

The car sometimes spudders/stalls like it has no acceleration. It seems like it's hitting fuel cut, or something? A friend of mine took off the hose that goes from the BPV to the intake, so that I am running rich, and it doesn't seem to do it as bad. When it does do it, I can always just completely let off the throttle and press it again and it will go just fine.

My friend from Mobile put my car on a datalogger and the O2 sensor flatlined during most of those times.

My question is, could a bad O2 sensor cause the symptoms that I am having?

Thanks,
LeRoy

The reason it doesn't seem to be as bad, is because you just made your boost leak bigger. To me, it sounds like you have some boost problems to work out. That should fix most, or if not, all of your problems. Visit VFAQ for information and a how-to on building a boost leak tester.

And I honestly doubt that your o2 sensor is the problem.

The only thing that makes me rule out a possible boost leak is the fact that it doesn't "always" do it. Just sometimes, and when it does do it, I can normally just let off the throttle all the way, and then she's ready to go.
