locked tranny need help!!!!!!!!

I was driving the other night and I pulled out of this parking lot and all of the sudden my tranny locked into first gear. I drove the car home in first gear about 6 miles, i had to go to 6500 rpm and then push in the clutch and coast. Now I am trying to fix the problem what could it be????
I can shift it into 1st gear position and 1st works, I can shift it where 2nd gear would be but it stays in first, and there is another spot it clicks into which is kinda where nuetral would be. But I can not move it over to nuetral, 3rd 4th 5th or reverse. The cables that run from the shifter to the tranny are fine but it is that one part on the tranny where the cable attaches that is jammed, what could it be???

If you are convinced the cables are fine then pull them off the trans shifting bell crank. You should be able shift the trans by hand with a little force. It might help to jack up one wheel and spin it with your foot while trying to shift. If it doesn't then the trans will have to come apart to determine if it's the shifting forks, sliding hubs and/or gears.

Would it ever jump out of gear?
