bad TOB ...or not?

I have a quick question. I have a 96 talon awd/5spd man. About a week ago my TOB started making noise when I put it in first at a light, then car
would die. It would only make noise pressing down to go in gear and also want to die. last night, I was going home and it did not want to go in gear
then did not want to come out of first. this morning I tried to adjust the master rod. and I could almost get, so it would not die going into gear. I went in
alittle further in and the TOB will make noise ALL the time. I went back the other direction so the TOB makes noise going in gear. after the last adjustment
the pedal went down to the floor a couple of times. It seems that maybe the TOB is not bad and I just need to bleed the system?
I searched alot but did not find the same symptoms.

Sounds like it couldn't hurt to replace it and bleed the system. If you have never done this before, be sure to check out a manual ar search for the procedure on the site. This would be a good time to also check the condition of the clutch also. Let us know how it goes.
