Okay, well I just finished dropping in my freshly built motor, and while I don't want to start it yet, as I am waiting on a turbo line I wanted to make sure there were no electrical problems as far as I would be able to tell..

I turned the key to the second position and I hear a buzz for about two seconds, and then again when I turn the key back.. It IS in the engine bay, not cabin, which as far as I know would rule out the MPI fuse, which is the mostly what searching concluded to. It is in the engine bay, and until someone else gets home I can't try to locate it.. I tried pulling the motor spot out of the fuse box in the engine bay and it stops buzzing, I don't hear any fuel pump priming either, by the way..

In short.
-Buzzing in engine bay when key is turned for two seconds roughly
-Motor fuse being pulled stops noise
-Waiting on roommate to help locate where it is, but want ideas..

I realize it is Thanksgiving and hope someone is still on here who can help..

RESOLVED

The ISC was ticking, upon further research, it doesn't necessarilly indicate it is bad, but will be testing it further.

Could it possibly be the fuel pump? Does it turn on in the second position?

From what I gather it isn't the fuel pump because the noise is in the engine bay, while the relay is in cabin with the MPI and the pump itself is in the back..

Another thought would be to check all your relays, time consuming, but an under-powered relay will sometimes vibrate (not enough power to hold it in the energized state, but enough to displace the spring a little). I've had that happen before in other applications, mostly ac current though. Only other idea i have would be to check if the battery is charged all the way.

Battery is full charged, as it just came off my running Talon temporarily to do my little test, so no reason it should not be dandy.

I think the best course of action will be to locate where exactly it is coming from when I get an extra hand unless someone chimes in who has experienced this exact problem..

Though if anyone has any advice or insight, please post up, it will all be considered..
