So, after a nightmare of a wiring problem, I'm down to two sensors to figure out then I'm done! I'm never doing a wire tuck again :| Here's the issue...

I have a 6 bolt motor with a 91 CAS. The car is a 96, but the wiring was trashed so it was replaced with a 97 GSX harness. Now, everything hookups up fine, but I'm having a problem finding the other plug/wire for my CAS harness. I have the harness from RRE for a 96 to 6bolt. Problem is, I don't have two plugs that are red/black/blue, only a triangular one. My harness has nothing for the 1g side white wire to connect to. The website makes a note of an extra blue wire, but I can't seem to notice a difference in the wiring harnesses diagram, nor do I have an extra blue wire. I do have an extra harness that is R/G/B/W in a square shape though.

Here's what I have, just this one harness I think

Here's the Camshaft Position Sensor, which I DO NOT have at all on either harness

Is there a different plug or wire for 97's CAS that I have to splice into? I have a plug that is Red/Green/White/Black on my new harness that is unused right now... any idea if thats it?

hello,

there are 3 kinds of CAS
for first gen (89-90) (91-94) there are 3 model
for 95-96 2gen the CAS located behind the intake cam gear
for 97-99 2gen the CAS located behind the intake cam shaft
i think you have the CAS from 89-90 or 95-96
i have the same CAS that you have but im using the 1gen CAS
but too much re-wiring but its worthed... hope its help
