I have a 95 eclipse gst with 272 cams evo 3 big16g and greddy bov and greddy fmic and hard piping. bov is recirculated it also has 255 whinebro. everytime i go to start the car it starts then right away stalls out. i have to hold the gas pedal in for about 5 seconds after i start it to get it to idle right but once its idling and running it runs fine. I redid my vac lines according to the diagrams on here and i got rid of my egr and evap. still doesnt want to start right away. any ideas? my buddy is on here and we both looked at it and can not figure it out. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I did search and all the ones that came up did not help me. I removed the egr valve and evap can and redid the vaccum lines as directed to on here i have 550cc injectors and 255 whinebro which whines loud. im lost and no one i know can figure it out. i even unplugged my isc and it still doesnt help. im lost.

I'm sure you have read this a million times on here but in all seriousness try a boost leak test. My friend blew a 3 inch hole in his IC piping and the car would only start maybe idle for 5 seconds and die. A very large leak after the MAF can cause unmeterted air to enter the motor and cause it to stall. Its pretty inexpensive to build a tester maybe 10 dollars. Its a valueable tool to have.

yeah thanks my buddy told me to try it. funny thing is the car will sometimes start right up no problem and run fine. other times it wil start then stall right out unless i tap the gas to keep it idling then about 3 seconds after that it runs fine. not sure what the issue is. has brand new MAF and all that jazz in it. im going to build a boost leak tester and check it next week. if i cant figure it out it will be getting parked for the winter anyways and im doing a complete tear down and rebuild of every inch of the car.

Check plug gaps should be between .28-.29, check fuel filter, and check your isc. Also clean your throttle plates.
