I'm a little concerned about this odd problem. Sometimes, when I start up my car, it will release a huge backfire. This only happened maybe three times in the last couple months. Each time, it sat overnight when it backfired. It takes a little longer to start up after the backfire. However, once started, it idles and runs fine. I know my tune isn't perfect (No Wideband) but, the tune was the same long before it backfired. It's my daily driver and I put an average of 2500 miles on it per month. Any ideas will be appreciated.

One of your valves could be sticking.
Or the valves are adjusted too tight. Valve stems can be slightly bent and not allowing free movement up and down.
Or the ignition timing can be off.
These are just guesses though.

I will check my timing today. I last checked it about 4 months ago. I know it could be lots of things, I just hope it's something simple. When I re-seal my oil pan, I may pull the valve cover and see what happening in there.
