evo valve springs

i was doing some reaserch and wonder does anybody know if the valve springs from an evo8 is different than a dsm. I looke at the eibach evs springs and the are cheaper than crower, hks etc.... the are not the mivec springs. i checked that. just wondered if anybody knows.

I have Evo 8 springs, retainers, and locks in my 1g head. They work great with my 272's.
They are a beehive design which minimizes the weight on the traveling end of the spring. This also allows them to use a smaller diameter and lighter retainer. Here is a thread on DSMtalk about them...... DSMtalk Forums - View Single Post - DSM / Evo valve spring comparison

Yes. The DSM retainers are too big to fit the Evo springs.
