Well I just took my car for a spin after it was sitting for a couple days, when I get on it, nothin..... At the end of second gear probably about 4-5k it feels like i get 5psi maybe, the Greddy type RS is also very quiet.

Just seems like I am getting no boost. I did multiple boost leak tests as well.

Another question, what is the proper way hook up the hose that comes of the wastegate actuator, I have it currently setup BOV-WASTEGATE ACT-INTAKE MANIFOLD.

Any input is aperciated! Thanks

I run a vacuum line from the intake to the BOV with no taps (T's) off that line. Then from the outlet tube of the turbo (j pipe, etc.) to the MBC and then from the MBC to the wastegate.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Well the thing is I dont have a nipple that runs of the j pipe, and I also dont have a boost controller yet.

Do you thing the way I have this setup ATM is part of my boost problem?

Check your wastegate actuator. I bet that cotter pin that holds the actuator arm onto the flapper arm is broken and just needs to be put back on the arm and the pin replaced. If this is the problem, the wastegate is just blowing open leaving you with no boost until the higher RPMs.

Also the way you have your MBC hooked up will make your MBC work fine, but your BOV will not function correctly. This is due to the fact that most MBCs have vent holes built into them. Therefore your BOV under boost is not seeing the correct boost reference it needs to stay shut under pressure. This will cause the BOV to leak before it should (lower PSI). Also it will not open correctly since it will not see the correct vacuum when you let off the throttle due to the vent in the MBC.

Thanks for the reply guys, I just check my actuator rod and when I pull on it, it opens and closed really really easy.. Thats probably not good, if this is the problem how the hell do I fix that?

Thanks

I have had this happen. The nut on the end of the rod fell off allowing it to seperate from the diaphram....If your carefull you can pry the rolled edge open. This will let the two half of the case seperate, you can then loctite and install the nut. also restake it. Then reassemble the halfs and use a hammer and dolly to close up the rolled edge.

Or just buy a new actuator..
