Ok so the original 2g engine had crank walk so i went ahead in drop another 7 bolt engine.
The only differents is the the original one had a CAS on it, now the new engine does not have this sensor it only had a black rubber where the C.A.S. goes, So i took it off and bolted on the one that i had off of the other head. It went in nice but i notice that the other head had a hole in the camshaft to hold it in place i guess, now this head that i got doesn't have this hole to screw in the screw. So i went ahead and just bolted in anyways. Car doesn't fire up,It only turns over and sometimes it gets to the point where it has a few explosions but then it just keeps turning over and nothing happens.I know i got gas and spark cause i checked that out already. Now is this head any good to me or am i going to have to use my other head, so i can use the C.A.S. or is there a way to make it work without the C.A.S.?

Sounds To Me Like You Had A 6 Bolt In There And Not A 7 Bolt. 7 Bolts Have Tha Cas On The Cam Gear Side Of The Head And The 6 Bolts Had It Where You Are Now Trying To Put It.

Post Pics Of Old Engine And New!

95-96 had the sensor under the cam gear. the 97-99 have it there on the pass side where you are putting it.

It sounds like you have a 95-96 engine. Which as stated earlier has the cas under the cam gear on the drivers side. So you can either swap cams or heads or drill your existing cam, or you can find a 1g cam sensor and just put on the new engine. The 1g cas do not have the bolt on them. But the reason your not getting any fire is because the bolt that you didnt put in is what makes the inside of the cas spin so the engine knows were the cams are at.
