My friend has a 91 eagle talon. And we are trying to get it running it will crank but not start. We think it might be the C.A.S. and i was wondering if there was a way to wire a 90 C.A.S to a 90 just for test reasons. I have 2 or 3 90 C.A.S's laying around. I have searched for hours but have came up with nothing PLEASE help

If you lay them side by side with the plug plugged into the 91+ the wires are in the same order coming out of the housing as the wires in the plug.

White to white, yellow to small black, red to red, and black to big black.

You can easily test the cas on his car though. Pull it out, attach the plug to it and turn the ignition to the on position. Now remove the plug wires and install a plug in them with the plug grounded on the valve cover. From there turn the rotor clock wise and watch for spark in all 4 plugs. You can then check for pulse in all 4 injectors by unplugging them one by one and turning the rotor to see if they all fire. IF all 4 injectors and plugs are firing the cas is fine and you have a problem elsewhere.

The car is all stock. He bought it not running. It will crank but no fire. The fuel pump wont come on. I know in the past on my 90 tsi. I have pulled out the C.A.S and spun it by hand and the fuel pump kicked on and i could hear the injectors fire. We pulled his 91 C.A.S out and i spun it by hand and did'nt hear the fuel pump kick on or hear the injectors fire..
