No Spark or Voltage to fuel pump Help!!!

I have a 94 talon tsi . I have had to replace numerous mechanical components over the years. The car has sat for nearly 3 years. Was running before its hybernation. Now- I am not getting any spark or fuel. No voltage whatsoever to the fuel pump. Have teted coil pack (continuity) and PT(1.5V test) according to Haynes manual and they both test faulty.(My fuses are also good). I'm wondering if this is a succesion of problems because of one these components or if its ,relays, CAS or if my ECU is fried!!! I love this stupid f---in car!:talon:::beatentodeath: Please help!!!
 
You actually won't see any voltage at the fuel pump until you try to start cranking or when the car has started on a 1g.

Let's start at the ecu. Does the check engine light come on for a few seconds and then go off when the ignition is first turned to "ON"? The boost gauge should move to the zero position as well. If that's not happening, the ecu isn't activating the MPI relay.

Look, dude, I serious would say take the ECU out and open it up and look at it. Even though the boost guage comes on and engine light come on then goes off after 5 seconds is not really an helpful indication. Mine did the samething and when I open the ECU, I saw leaks from the capacitors on to the board.

I have the same problem on my car, but I just can't find the right ECU for my 90 GSX.

That's good. What about the voltage at the fuel pump. Are you measuring while the car is cranking over? You should see voltage while the starter is engaged since it activates the portion of the MPI relay that powers the fuel pump. You could also measure at the MPI relay pin 2 to see if there is voltage there (a black/green wire if my schematic is correct for your year).
 
I am getting voltage to the MPI Relay. Before my car sat for 3 yrs my alternator was smashed in a front end collision. The car still drove immediatly afterward. I have since replaced alt/bracket and front end components. I did replace the 80 amp alt fuse in engine compartment because it was blown. Will this disruption cause the charging system
cause a specific chain reaction leading to the problems that I have now? (again car drove after collision)
 
It's possible, but it's hard to say since we don't know what the problem is yet.

Which pin of the MPI relay do you have voltage?

Have you checked the other fusible links, specifically the 20A MPI one? You should check with an actual multimeter instead of just doing a visual check just in case.
 
I am getting power through the #10 pin(bottom left I beleive). Yesterday I pulled the MPI relay and performed Haynes manual tests with batt. and multimeter. The relay tested good. Im not getting voltage to the wire harness (in trunk) except when I run the multimeter neg. directly to the battery. When I do this the fuel warning light comes on in dash. Does this sound like a bad ground somewhere along the line?
