Edm,
Update I've started the car by jumping the starter, but still no start from the key..
Update #2: The car now starts off the key for whatever reason... That really confuses me, since I didn't change anything except play with the fuse for the fuel pumps, and move the ecu and relay. Ah jeeze, hopefully it doesn't return as a problem, but we all know about that sort of thing.. I'll poke around some more though to see wtf it was..
So I was finally at the point where I thought I would at least try to turn the car over, if not fire it up for a few seconds, but it didn't go as planned.
I've done a lot of wire removal and moving things around etc.. But, I can connect thru dsmlink and run the fuel pumps and things, so I can communicate to the ecu. But when I try and start the car however, I turn the key ahead to start, and I first hear one small click that turns off all the lights in the first half of turning the key (to provide power solely for cranking I believe?)
And then I hear another louder click, starter relay in the center dash?) All fuses look good. Battery is topped up and ready to go as well.. I'm hoping its something as simple as the starter isn't getting it's signal. I can turn the car over by jumping the starter, it turns over fine and has spark when I do that, so it's something with the key ignition, or a clutch wire? or something along those lines, so what are the few main things to look for in that area, to verify what is getting power?
