cam angle / balance shaft

i have a question that might be really stupid but i have searched and i got nothing.
i have the balance shaft removal from sbr, does that remove the cam angle sensor?

NO! Totally wrong area of the car. The BSE removes the balance shafts that keep the engine harmonics down and give the car less noticeable vibration. For a daily driver and such, not a race car. The cam angle sensor aka CAS, sends the position of the intake cam to the computer to send fuel and such. Please read the repair manual for other basic questions like this. Or use the search button. Why may i ask did you want to know this?

i have seen people run with out the cam angle sensor what does it need to be done?

You def. need one of those. Who told you that you dont? The CAS is there to tell the computer fuel, spark, all that stuff for the engine. Without it, you wont ever have a engine that turns over. You need that since our cars don't have a carburetor or a distributor.

Did you get an instruction manual on how to install the BSE kit. Youll have to take the oil pump off and remove the balances shafts insert the plugs and swap the stock bearings 180 degrees and install the nub. Put loctite on the nub bolt and torque it down.

no i didnt get any instroctions, the reson i was asking was becouse i realy thought the bse kit removed the cas

Well. Are you planning on installing it yourself? It is a good idea to take the balance shafts out because I bought a jdm motor and it had a broken balance shaft belt sitting in it when I bought it. Its better to take it out so you have no belt at all. The balance shaft belt can get caught in the timing belt and cause it to jump.

yeah im i will be doing everything my self but putting the pistons and rods / the motor together, everything else will be me, i just wasn't sure where the balance shaft removel kit whent, i was sure it whent some where the timing goes but after talking to a friend he said that the lil cam looking think might be for the cas.
i have been thinking about it and the search was empty so i kinda didnt want to post thinking it would sound like a newbe question.

hey guys do you guys know ### that lil sponge thing inside the cam angle is for or if i can get another one / get something in its place?

Did you take the CAS apart and loose something? I have another 1g CAS that I dont need. 1g or 2g CAS?

its a 1g cas but i didn't lose anything there was just this sponge thingy blocking a hole and it had oil on it, should i put it back, leave the hole open where you can see from the out side to inside, or ### else?
