Well, I have kind of a strange problem. I am able to go into any gear, and boost with my 14b at 13 pounds perfectly fine. I can even launch the car, granny shift into the next gear, and go WOT and be fine...great pull, no problems. The problem arises when I shift hard. It happens for a split second in 2nd, but 3rd, 4th, and I assume 5th all get progressively worse, but very quickly. 3rd gear pops and sputters after hitting a hard shift from 2nd, but if I let of the throttle a couple of times, I can go WOT and it'll be fine...same thing in 4th. I have no idea where to start looking, as if it were a boost leak, my understanding is it would happen all the time. If it were plugs/wires/coil pack, it would happen all the time. I dont think it is fuel, because when it happens, I can smell more fuel than usual. any insight would be great...thanks all!

Any thoughts as to a fix? I just took it out again and went WOT to 5500 rpms and grannied through 3rd and had no problems....I tried it slamming gears and had it misfire pretty good in 2nd and had to go to 1/2 throttle in 3rd to get rid of the misfire. Its got me stumped...but then again, I'm fairly new to the game ;)

seriously bro? You bumped my thread from literally over 3 years ago. My timing was off, and I had a 1g. Check your timing electronically if you have an external cas on your motor.

Mine was doing the same thing now it missfires in all boost. I found out it was the turbo. When it spools up, the shaft starts vibrating and slowing the turbo down. So it is pushing way to much fuel and flooding itself out. check to see if you hear a whine when you throttle up, if so it is probably your turbo

it could be possible you are getting knock, do you have a logging software? or any way to keep track of such sensors? if you are running rich and your timing is off, its a likely explanation

Okay...for those trying to help ME, the car had this problem 3 YEARS AGO. I don't have the car anymore. Come on...read the dates guys. I told him my problem, its resolved...if a mod could close this thread it'd be great. Let him start his own thread if he needs it.

Nope...Been through another GSX, 3 240sx's, 2 more tiburons, a 4g swapped Dodge D50, and an Evo since then. Thread's ancient news.
