I'm having a really strange problem with my 96 GSX, when I am driving it sometimes it feels like is loosing power, and a small bumping starts on the back of the car, when I shift to the next gear the problem stops. It happens with all the gears... does anyone knows what can be causing this problem???

The small bumping sound you hear from the back can you pin point where its coming from? Have you tried a boost leak test?

My transfer case started go last summer And before I could swap it it started to make the Rearend lock up everonce in a While ... At First it sounded kind of like that
I would check the Fluid in the the Rear end and T-Case just to be on the Safe Side

I am still having this problem, the problem is that if I go to 3000rpms for some reason the car starts loosing power and backfiring a lot, is like it is running on three pistons..... any idea what could it be?

I've change the spark plugs into (BPR6ES) but the problem remains...... Its driving me crazy....:cry::cry:

I had a very similar problem,it ended up being a torn fuel pump oring,I forgot to change it when I changed the fuel pump. Although you may not have the exact culprit you are having the exact symptons I had, wich was caused by not having enough fuel pressure(caused by a torn oring for me).

Hey Black! How you doing???

Maybe a little more info can help us to help you...

Do you get a CEL when the bumping starts??? If so, what's the code number???

I had a similar problem with my car some time ago...

After a really long time with this issue i still don't have the solution... its driving me crazy....

The problem is that when i am driving in any gear at 3000rpms the car for some reason feels like it lose a piston...like i was driving with 3 pistons... I can drive faster or slower than 3000rpms no problem...

I've changed sparks, spark wires, and problem solved a little bit... now i have to stay around 10 segs at 3000 rpms for it to happen... I 've check the fuel proressure, fuel injectors, boost leaks and everything seems to be fine...

Does anyone has an idea what else can i check???
