well me and my friend were out trying to figure out why i was getting boost cut at around 5k today..last pull of the day he was listening from the outside to see what the deal was..and found nothing. i turned the corner and all of a sudden im hearing a thumping noise from the bottom of the car...it gets worse as i make turns or when i slow down. im guessing that its coming from either the t-case or something to do with the driveshaft...any insight?

Ifyou can feel a banging on the floor it is the carrier bearing of the driveshaft. Does it do it when you launch the car or shift hard into second?

Were gonna put the car up on jack's today and run it through the gears and see what it is. I have a feeling that it could maybe be the driveshaft bearing which we wanted to replace that from the beginning but never did, and yea it gets bad when i go from first to second, or even just starting up from first. Feels like im running on a flat tire..but underneath the car.

No reason to run it through the gears to check the carrier bearings. Just grab the driveshaft near the bearing and try to push the driveshaft up towards the floor pan.

Figured out what the problem was. I shouldve checked the underside of the car before I posted anything, but we did today and realized that the bracket that is used to hold the rear part of the driveshaft up. The outer washer totally fell off and the bracket went over the nut causing it to rub on the exhaust. We put the car up on all 4 and ran it through a few gears and realized that the exhaust was hitting the rear diff.
