I bought a 3'' downpipe 3'' cat a reducer pipe from 3 to 2.5 and a cat back exhaust with 2.5 '' piping a year ago. Now I have greatly improved my set up and I have never used the cat or the catback exhaust. I just ran the downpipe. Am I better off selling my catback and just going with a 3'' all the way or should I just use the reducer pipe and make my exhaust go to 2.5''? Would the exhaust sound better going to 2.5, would going to 2.5 take away a lot of performance? I will I have to cut my catback if I want to make it work with my downpipe and cat.

The bigger the better, definatly go with a 3", if you can go from 3" to a 4" back exhaust.

I paid 198 and it came to me all dented up because it was shipped from California. I guess I will sell it to one of my friends with no mods. He will probably enjoy it. Also, I order the downpipe on ebay and it was listed wrong. Its said 1g downpipe for a gsx. It is really a 2g downpipe for a fwd turbo. Did you guys notice? What kind of muffler should I get if I just get the pipe to the back?

imo. i personally love the sound of a dsm without cats or resonators, but not everyone might. im on a 2.5" with a resonator before the outlet so it quiets down the exhaust a little, but a 3" no cats/resonators will be on soon. it will help you out performance while in the long run also
