[RESOLVED] Could a new TOB (throw out bearing) cause the clutch pedal to feel differe

I recently swapped a 99 420A into my 97 Talon. Everything there went smooth as planned and I got it on the road tonight.

I noticed my clutch pedal feels light. Its engaging very close to the floor, but the car is drivable. I replaced the TOB while in there and reused my modular clutch and fork/pivotball.

The question is, could the new TOB cause this weirdness...It was fine when I started the swap a week or so ago and I didnt disconnect any hydraulic lines for the swap I just moved them aside. The cars all stock so thats another good thing. Thanks in advance.

If you bleed your line it should stiffen up and raise the engagement point. Even though you didnt disconnect the lines you took of the slave letting some fluid out and air in.

seems normal to me when i do mine i clean the slide for the bearing and apply some anti seize then my pedal is extra soft,if she will not wreck going into gear especially 1st and reverse then ## ok,everyone who drives my car always comment about the softness in the pedal quite frankly i love it

Yea I replaced mine with an OEM TOB from chrysler (talon). I greased it up, made sure it was sitting correctly on the fork and so far no noise or problems at all, just this softer than normal pedal. I like mine to be crisp feeling and for the shifter to float into the gear im selecting.

On a second note, my Polyurethane motor mounts are vibrating the shit out of my car haha but its worth it.
